About the Artist
I am an award-winning Canadian vocalist and powerhouse performer with over 40 years of live stage experience. Rooted in Northern Ontario’s rich musical community, I began my singing journey at age ten. I quickly established a reputation as a dominant competitive artist, making music history by winning three major singing competitions across Canada in the same year: The Canadian Open, The Northern Ontario Open, and the Ontario Open at the CNE. Driven by a deep passion for creative freedom and authentic connection, I bring a seasoned, professional edge to every stage I step on. My sound is a dynamic, heartfelt fusion of traditional and modern country, pop, spanning from the 1920’s to today's hits. Renowned for my exceptional vocal range, control, and emotional depth, (According to Judges), I effortlessly command the music of legendary vocalists like Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride and Faith Hill. Whether delivering an intimate acoustic performance or leading a high-energy band, my charismatic stage presence and versatile vocal abilities captivate audiences and judges alike. I have been struggling with my health for the past 25 years and have still managed to have a musical presence in my neck of the woods, instead of writing country songs I’m writing headache journals for specialists. Currently, I am working on a solo act Tribute to Patsy Cline and Elvis Presley that both sold out this year. I am finally ready for the next steps of my adventure of tackling radio play, playing at the Stampede in Calgary and crossing Canada with my band on a fun adventure over the next few years. I have completed my 15-song album most recently, I am writing grants, the band is learning my songs, we are planning videos, and I would like to use this album to play bigger venues in Ontario in 2027/2028. Currently I job create with renting venues and selling tickets to shows either with the band or as a solo act; I also entertain at retirement centres and post in on Facebook for those who can’t make it out of their homes; Christmas eve I will have a live event for all centres in Ontario running from 1:30 pm to 3 pm on my FB page…and this is what I am currently working on as an independent artist, I am busy doing and struggle with social media, so I might be an untapped resource 🌟 Performance Highlights • Superstar Support: Hand-selected to open for country music legends Shania Twain, Jason McCoy, Farmer’s Daughters, Lace and most recently Brett Kissell and Cory Marks • Global Stages: As a special guest in some of the United States, Jamaica, and on an international cruise line. • Community Headliner: A beloved fixture in Northern Ontario's live music scene, frequently performing at regional landmarks and major outdoor venues like Bannerman Park, Schumacher Lions Club Concert Series and many Timmins events. My family's rich musical lineage spans 5 generations and includes several key milestones: • My Grandmother, Elizabeth Johnson, is known across Northern Ontario as the "godmother of country music". She was named one of the "100 Faces of Timmins" for her contributions to Art & Music and was inducted into the Northern Ontario Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008. • My family owned and operated J.J.'s Ranch, a popular live music and entertainment nightclub in Schumacher (near Timmins) for 28 years, and My parents also both recorded an album in 1987 with my uncle and songs still play in Europe upon occasion. • Extended Family: The musical talent extends to my great-uncle Jesse, who was a one man show, singer, songwriter, My uncle Clyde who was the master of the man in black Johnny Cash, My great Grandmother, grandmother and Great aunt formed the first musical band in our multi generations that began in the 1940’s. • Early Start in the Family Band: Immersed in music from birth, I began singing alongside my grandmother at age seven. By age ten, I officially launched my singing career by joining my parents on stage as the house band, The JJ's Ranch Arrows, performing on stage four days a week at our own venue for almost three years. This deep family heritage provided me the ultimate training grounds, helping me develop into an award-winning country music singing artist that is famous in a small City
